Technical Background Microscopic movements between the wheel bearing and wheel bearing housing may cause the noise (front left and/or front right bearing can be affected). Production Solution Not applicable. Service 1. On the affected side(s), remove any corrosion and dirt from the wheel bearing housing and the wheel bearing. 2. Using a brush, apply a thin coat of paste part number G 052109A2, using about .21 ounces or 6 grams (roughly 1/20) from the tube on the wheel bearing housing as shown (Figure 1). Make sure not to apply any paste on the threads. Figure 1. Area to apply paste. Tip: Wheel bearings replaced for this concern will not be reimbursed under warranty.
