Service Bulletin June 24, 2014 14-041 ATB 51812 (1406) Safety Recall: Civic, CR-V, and Odyssey - Front Passenger’s Airbag Inflator Can Be Over-Pressurized AFFECTED VEHICLES Year Model 2002-03 Civic 2002-03 CR-V 2002-03 Odyssey Trim ALL ALL ALL VIN Range TBD TBD TBD BACKGROUND A manufacturing error can produce over-pressurization of the passenger’s (front) airbag inflator during airbag deployment. If an affected airbag deploys, the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator casing to rupture. Metal fragments could be propelled upward toward the windshield, or downward toward the front passenger’s foot well, possibly causing an injury to vehicle occupants. This bulletin will be revised once VIN information, the repair procedure, parts information, and warranty claim information are available.
