Background
American Honda (AHM) is investigating certain 2014 Accord V6s with a complaint of oil leak at the rear cylinder head
cover gasket. To fully understand the cause of this condition, AHM would like to inspect the vehicle prior to your
attempting a repair of any kind.
Qualifiers
AHM is interested ONLY if the vehicle meets the following requirements:
1. V6 model only.
2. Vehicle must be under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3 year/36,000 miles).
3. No extended warranty.
4. Leak must be from the V6 rear head cover gasket.
5. No previous removal of rear cylinder head cover.
Action Required
If you have or know of such a vehicle, please call Technical Research & Support (TRS) Group at 800-880-1072. TRS will
need to record certain vehicle information and provide you with further instructions.
