BACKGROUND:
On December 19, 2017, MMNA was notified by JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation that LSD
Gear Oil GL-5 SAE 90 (Part# MZ320345) does not comply with the EPA’s Toxic Substances
Control Act (TSCA). Due to this non-compliance, MMNA is requesting that all dealers immediately
stop-sale/stop-usage of LSD Gear Oil GL-5 SAE 90 (Part# MZ320345), and quarantine their
supply of LSD Gear Oil GL-5 SAE 90 (Part# MZ320345) until further notice. Dealers failing to do
this may be held responsible for violating the TSCA which can result in a fine.
AVAILABILITY:
To ensure customer satisfaction, an alternative oil has been located and will be supplied in 5
gallon pails until case quantities (quart size) become available. This alternative oil is the only
MMNA approved LSD gear oil currently available for Mitsubishi vehicles. The alternative
established part number is as follows:

RETURN PROCEDURE:
Dealers are requested to return promptly the stocks on-hand for the following part listed
below to your facing PDC with a pack list.
Dealers will follow the Return Parts Procedure and use “Return Type A” when
returning these parts. 
Upon PDC processing, a claim will be credited as appropriate through the standard
crediting procedures.
