VWoA Compliance Subject: TDI Update From: Keogh, Scott Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2016 1:46 PM Subject: TDI Update Dear Dealer Partners, Today the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California held a status conference regarding our affected 3.0L TDI V6 vehicles. Both the Department of Justice and Volkswagen reported to the Court that they are making ‘‘substantial progress’’ towards reaching an approved resolution. For his part, Judge Charles Breyer, who is overseeing the proceedings, said he is ‘‘very optimistic that we will achieve a resolution for the 3.0L vehicles.’’ The court has now scheduled a status conference on November 30 for the parties to report the results of their discussions, and ordered that further details about discussions remain confidential. I want to thank you again for your continued patience as this process moves forward. We are working hard towards an approved resolution for affected 3.0L TDI V6 vehicles. I am pleased to report that the implementation of our 2.0L TDI Settlement Program has started well. The first claims are being validated and we expect customers to begin visiting the dealerships in the next few weeks to complete their buybacks. This program is unprecedented in terms of its size and scope, and there will be some challenges along the way, but our goal is to make the settlement process as seamless as possible for our affected customers. You are an important part of this and I want to thank you for your support and your partnership in making this program a success. Should you have any questions or concerns about any diesel related issue, I encourage you to contact the dedicated Settlement Dealer Support Team at 1-844-DLR-SPRT. We will continue to keep you updated on all relevant developments as soon as they become available. Thank you again for the invaluable contribution you continue to make as ambassadors for the Audi brand, through your ongoing professionalism, focus and hard work. Sincerely, Scott Keogh President Audi of America, Inc. 2200 Ferdinand Porsche Drive Herndon, VA 20171 Office: +1.703.364.7400 Fax: +1.703.364.7075 [email protected] http://www.audiusa.com 1
