Upon inspection, one or both of the rear stabilizer links may be damaged. Follow the repair in this bulletin to address this condition. Place the vehicle on a lift and check for presence of the Stabilizer Link under the rear suspension arm No. 2. Figure 1. Stabilizer Link Present Figure 2. Stabilizer Link Damaged 2. If the Stabilizer Link is damaged on either side, remove the Stabilizer Link Assembly from the Stabilizer Bar on both sides by removing the nut at the Stabilizer Bar. 3. Discard the remaining Stabilizer Cushions if any are present 4. Install 2 NEW Stabilizer Link Assemblies. Make sure that both Stabilizer Cushion No. 1 and No. 2 are replaced as a set using both new part numbers as outlined in the Parts Information section. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual: • 2006 / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 / 2010 / 2011 / 2012 RAV4: Suspension – Rear Stabilizer Bar – “Suspension: Rear Stabilizer Bar: Installation” 5.
