Some customers may experience Tailgate Cable Stay slack appearance. Tailgate Cable Stays are
designed to have some slack when the Tailgate does not have a load applied, this is due to Tailgate
loading requirements.
RECOMMENDATIONS
To confirm if Tailgate Cable Stay length is OK - load the Tailgate in the area shown (on the side with
slack/loose condition) with load of ≥ 23 lbs. (use Seatbelt Sensor Weight SST 00002-09077-01).
If Cable Stay has no slack/looseness, please inform customer part is OK and functions as intended.
