CONDITION
Chrometec (plastic clad) wheels are being damaged during mounting and dismounting of tires.
Refer to photos below for identifying plastic and aluminum portions of wheel:
RECOMMENDATIONS
When using a tapered cone on tire changer, the following precautions should be used to prevent
damage or cracking to the plastic clad surface.
 Ensure mounting surface of cone and wheel is clean of dirt and debris
 Ensure wheel is perfectly centered on tire changer before tightening
 Use caution not to over-tighten cone or clamp
o Over-tightening may cause plastic cladding to crack
 If further information is needed, refer to tire changer instruction or contact tire changer
representative
