The technician may find one or more of the following DTCs set: • P0366 • P0014 Cause This condition may be caused by a sporadically unlocked exhaust cam phaser that can oscillate during engine start, falsely setting the DTC/s. Correction If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, reprogram the ECM software with the latest software available. Service Procedure Parts Information Important: Stable battery voltage is critical during programming. Any fluctuation, spiking, over voltage or loss of voltage will interrupt programming. Install the EL-49642 SPS Programming Support Tool to maintain system voltage. If not available, connect a fully charged 12 V jumper or booster pack disconnected from the AC voltage supply. DO NOT connect a battery charger. Update the Engine Control Module (ECM). Refer to K20 Engine Control Module: Programming and Setup in SI. No parts are required for this repair.
