Mazda technicians utilize the proper tools/ equipment and take training to correctly and safely maintain Mazda vehicles. These instructions should not be performed by “do-it-yourselfers.” Customers should not assume this bulletin applies to their vehicle or that their vehicle will develop the described concern. To determine if the information applies, customers should contact their nearest authorized Mazda dealership. Service Alert No.: SA-014/18 Last Issued: 03/07/2018 In the following cases, the MRCC with Stop & Go function system is canceled when the vehicle is traveling at 19 mph (30 km/h) or less: The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) cannot detect target objects due to one of the following: The windshield is dirty The FSC lens is foggy There is low visibility due to rain, fog or snow It is at night and there is not enough light There is direct or reflected sunlight on the FSC There is problem with the FSC There is a problem with the AUTOHOLD control function. There is a problem with the electric parking brake (EPB). REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify customer concern. 2. Are there any DTC's stored in memory? Yes - Diagnose according to the instructions on MGSS. No - In most cases, no repair is needed. Simply clean the windshield and front radar sensor to eliminate the Multi-Information Display message. 3. Verify repair.
