Complaint:
The Check Engine Light (CEL) is on in the instrument cluster. DTC fault code P032600 for knock sensor in the ME engine control module. Customers might complaint of vibration / engine roughness.
Cause:
Root cause analysis is being performed.
Remedy:
Perform the following steps:
1. Perform all basic checks related to fuel quality.
2. Check wiring
3. Check for carbon deposit, check spark plugs and other possible root causes.
Perform Xentry guided, and knock control tests.
If knock sensor replacement does not resolve the issue or there are no other obvious root causes of the issue, collect
all information including all Xentry files (logs - QT, CUL and tests), open a PTSS case with all collected information
mentioning this LI number.
The PTSS cases will be sent to Service Engineering and the next steps will be provided in the PTSS case.
