Complaint:
Vibrations when cornering and shuddering during circular-course driving.
Cause:
Various drivetrain components, tolerance pairings of various components in 4MATIC drivetrain (differential, etc.).
Remedy:
Please perform an analysis by working through the fault tree.
In vehicles with a transmission sequence number between 4.720.000 and 4.787.465, please work through the "Special test fault tree".
Note: If the analysis with the fault tree indicates that the planet carrier must be replaced, immerse the new part in the
specified oil prior to installation in order to ensure that it is properly coated.
Note 2: Running vehicle in drive with two wheels off the ground is not an approved repair and can lead to damage of
the planet carrier.
