Complaint:
Harsh 4-3 and/or 4-5 shifts may be experienced, usually more noticeable with light throttle drivers. No check engine
light etc. or related diagnostic fault codes. Adaptation values are usually within specification.
Cause:
System software can adapt poorly under certain driving conditions. Shift member K2 will become overfilled leading to
a harsh shift.
Remedy:
Please update the Transmission Control Unit to the software referenced in the attachment or newer
After performing the update, save an EEPROM log from the transmission. Clear adaption values and take vehicle for
new adaptation drive. Save an EEPROM log after adaptation.
Resetting of adaptation values: VGS - Fully integrated transmission control (Y3/8n4) -> Adaptations -> Teach-in Process -> Resettinf of adaptation values ->Shift -> Confirm reset of adaptation with Yes
