Replace suspension strut electrical harnesses

- 2016 -

Campaign No. 2016030011, April 2016
TO:
ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS
SUBJECT:
Model 292, Model Year 2016
Replace Suspension Strut Electrical Harnesses
This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG), the manufacturer of MercedesBenz vehicles, has determined that the electrical connector at the suspension struts does not meet
specifications. It is possible that a leak may occur at the electrical connector and then the message
"AIRMATIC fault" could illuminate in the display. To remedy this, an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will
replace the electrical harness at the suspension struts on the affected vehicles as a precautionary
measure.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously
repaired.

Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.
Approximately 34 vehicles are affected.
