Title: BE and CE IC Bus Driver Heater Resistor
Applies To: BE and CE Model School and Commercial Bus with Feature Code 48GHB or 48GHC
DESCRIPTION
BE and CE driver heater experiencing early in life failure of the resistor. Failure of the resistor can result in loss of one or
both fan speeds, most common is loss of low speed only. Failure is seen in single blower driver heater design, feature
code 48GHB and 48GHC, produced 2011 through March 2013.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
Resistor thermal cutout has been updated to eliminate failure. When replacing the resistor on units with the single blower
design, feature code 48GHB or 48GHC, use new resistor, part number 2511225C1. Units built after March 2013 were
produced with resistor 2511225C1.
Resistor 2511225C1 is to only be used on the single blower driver heater design. Installation of this resistor in any other
heater application is not recommended or authorized.
