Please discard PIC5822D The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition / Concern A customer may comment of mildew odor or water on front floor on either side of the vehicle. Recommendations / Instructions Technician should pull back carpet and insulator as shown in pictures below for the suspect side of the vehicle (passenger side shown). Remove the front wheelhouse liner and spray water into the wheelhouse of the affected side and check for water in the area indicated in photo shown below. Water will enter around applied sealer as cavity fills. The front wheel house flange may have a void in the sealer. Seal the void using a thumb grade sealer (service manual calls for "heavy-bodied caulking material") pushed into the void from the wheel opening. For location of flange please reference the graphics below. Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. © 2016 General Motors. All Rights Reserved.
