Condition / Concern
Some owners may comment that the RAP (retained accessory power) feature is inoperative after turning the ignition key off but before
opening any door.
Recommendations / Instructions
If a vehicle is equipped with radio provisions (RPO UXZ) and a factory GM radio was never installed, the RAP feature will not be
present. Also, if the vehicle is equipped with power windows they will be immediately disabled after the ignition key is turned off.
Note: Radio Provisions (RPO UXZ) includes: alarm warning chimes, radio wiring harness, radio antenna and 2 front door speakers. It
does NOT include a radio.
If an approved GM radio for this vehicle is installed at a later date, the RAP feature will become functional.
Only radios available for the vehicles model year and trim level build are available to install. Refer to the GM Order Guide for available
options.
IMPORTANT: Once installed, the radio will need to be programmed with software available in TIS2WEB.
If a factory radio is installed, a calibration change will be required.
NOTE: As this is a customer pay request, Techline will charge for this service.
Please call TCSC to obtain a VCI number. United States 1-888-337-1010 Canada (English) 1-800-828-6860 Canada (French) 1-800-5033222. The Techline Customer Support Center will provide programming instructions and changes to the vehicles calibration settings.
You must provide the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle to be programmed, as well as the part number for the radio
being installed when calling.
