Service Technical Information 11/18 ENU 1975 1 Symptom - Engine - Coolant Reservoir Cap Leaking: Further rework required (SY 11/18) Model Line: 718 Boxster (982) 718 Cayman (982) Model Year: As of 2017 up to 2018 Subject: Coolant reservoir cap Symptom: Coolant is leaking out at the coolant reservoir cap. Cause: The coolant reservoir cap may have been overtightened. The locking lug for the limit stop of the coolant reservoir cap has broken off. Procedure: Remedial Action: Replace coolant reservoir filler neck and coolant reservoir cap. Information For this fault type, the coolant reservoir cap and the coolant reservoir filler neck must be replaced. 1 Open the luggage compartment and unclip covers ( Covers -1-) by prising them upwards using a suitable tool. Covers 2 Fold luggage compartment carpet ( Luggage compartment carpet -2-) to the rear ( Luggage compartment carpet -arrow-).
