SUBJECT:
Hood Seal Torn or Deformed
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the hood seals due to damage and/or being torn.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: EMEA/(Gulf
Coast Countries)
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before May 12, 2017 (MDH 0512XX)
equipped with Middle East Equipment Group (Sales Code ABD).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience the hood seal drooping due to cracks and tears on the hood seal.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair.
NOTE: The hood seal should be replaced automatically if part of the RRT.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Open hood and remove both upper close out panels (Fig. 1) .

2. Remove all hood seal retainers (plastic rivets) and the hood seal (Fig. 2) . Replace with new
hood seal and retainers listed in Parts Required.
