SYMPTOM
The SRS indicator is on with DTC B0090-87 (no signal from the left front impact sensor).
POSSIBLE CAUSES
A wire diameter variance lets water enter the SRS front impact sensor connector and causes damage to the harness.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the left front impact sensor and engine compartment wire harness.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
The following service information procedures have been used in full or in part within this service bulletin. For more detail
on these procedures and torque specifications, refer to the service information.
1. Disconnect the 12-volt battery, and remove it from the vehicle. Refer to the service information.
2. Vehicle exterior: Remove the following parts or take the required action. Refer to the service information.
•
Front bumper assembly
•
Left and right headlight assemblies
•
Lower windshield cowl cover
•
Left and right inner fender liners
•
Lower engine splash shield
•
Loosen the resonator chamber to gain access to ground cable G301
•
Exhaust A pipe
•
Air cleaner assembly
•
Unbolt the throttle body and move it aside
•
Horn bracket (from the core support)
•
PCM
•
Passenger side engine mount and bracket (to help removal and routing of the harness)

3. Vehicle interior: Remove the following parts. Refer to the service information.
•
Driver's door sill trim and kick panel (Do not remove the lock cylinder.)
•
Driver's dashboard lower cover
•
MICU
•
Passenger's door sill trim and kick panel
•
Passenger's dashboard undercover
•
EPS control unit
4. Unplug the engine room wire harness connectors and ground wires.
5. Starting from the interior on the passenger side, remove the harness. Follow the harness into the engine
compartment.
NOTES
•
Remove the clips and harness through the firewall from underneath the vehicle.
•
Temporarily re-attach the passenger side mount and bracket before raising the vehicle.

6. Starting at the interior of the driver's side, remove the harness. Follow the harness into the engine compartment.
7. Starting from the center of the core support, remove the harness and follow it towards the drivers side.
8. Completely remove the harness from the vehicle.
9. Install the harness in the reverse order of removal, and securely fasten all connectors.
NOTE
To reduce connector / harness from snagging, wrap all the connectors with masking tape.
10. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
11. Do an all DTC check, and clear all DTCs.
