When a vehicle arrives at the service department, access Hyundai Motor America's "warranty vehicle information" screen via WEBDCS to identify open campaigns. Description: On certain 2018MY Elantra 2.0L (ADa) vehicles, the V-ribbed belt may become frayed. Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to inspect and if necessary replace the V-ribbed belt. Applicable Vehicles: Certain 2018MY Elantra (ADa) 2.0L HMMA built vehicles (1st 3-digit VIN: 5NP) Parts Information: Part Name Description V-RIBBED BELT Part Number Quantity Note 25212-2E300 1* *Replace only if the inspection result is “NO GOOD”. The replaced V-ribbed belt will receive a warranty parts collection notice. Open the hood and check the lot code information on the V-ribbed belt. LOT Code Info NOTICE If the lot information is not visible, then quickly START and STOP the engine until the lot information portion becomes visible. 2. Compare the lot code to determine between GOOD and NO GOOD. NOTICE NO GOOD (Lot Code “8318T9ML”) - Lot Code is 8318T9ML is NO GOOD. - All other Lot Codes are GOOD. 3. If the lot code is not “8318T9ML” (GOOD), then no further work is needed.
