CAUSE: This may be caused by a component fault. ACTION: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure and appropriate Diagnostic Procedure(s) below. WORKSHOP PROCEDURE: 1 Inspect the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) differential pressure sensor wiring for a short/open circuit condition (see TOPIx Electrical Information section Electrical Wiring Diagrams 303-14: https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/content/document/view?id=897056 3/7 5/21/2018 LTB01192NAS1 - Engine MIL Illuminated With DTC P244A-95, P2453-28, and/or P2455-22 Stored | TOPIx Electronic Engine Controls). If a short/open circuit condition is found, repair before continuing with this Technical Bulletin (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 418-02: Electrical Distribution - Wiring Harness - General Procedures - Wiring Harness Repair). Once the repair is completed, go to Diagnostic Procedure 'A' below. If a short/open circuit condition is not found, go to Step 2. 2 Replace the DPF differential pressure sensor (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 303-14: Electronic Engine Controls). 1 Once the repair is completed, go to Diagnostic Procedure 'B' below. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 'A': CAUTIONS: A Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply must be connected to the vehicle startup battery during diagnosis / module programming. All ignition ON/OFF requests must be carried out. Failure to perform these steps may cause damage to control modules in the vehicle. 1 Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply to the vehicle startup battery. 2 NOTE: The Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool must be loaded with SDD153.02 Software Management Pack v294 (or later). Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool to the vehicle and begin a new session. https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/content/document/view?id=897056 4/7 5/21/2018 3 LTB01192NAS1 - Engine MIL Illuminated With DTC P244A-95, P2453-28, and/or P2455-22 Stored | TOPIx Follow all on-screen instructions, allowing the diagnostic tool to read the VIN, identify the vehicle, and initiating the data collect sequence. 4 Read and clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). 1 Follow all on-screen instructions until the application completes successfully. 2 When all tasks are complete, go to the next Step. 5 Switch the ignition 'ON' and then 'OFF' 3 times. 6 Read all DTCs. If DTCs P244A-95, P2453-28, and P2455-22 are not stored, go to Step 7. If DTCs P244A-95, P2453-28, and P2455-22 are stored: Replace the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 303-14: Electronic Engine Controls). Replace the Diesel Particulate Filter differential pressure sensor (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 303-14: Electronic Engine Controls). Once the repair is completed, go to Step 4 of Diagnostic Procedure 'B' below. 7 Exit the current session. 1 Select the Session tab. 2 Select the Close Session option. 8 Disconnect the diagnostic tool and battery power supply from the vehicle. 1 When all tasks are complete, release the vehicle. No further action required.
