Overview Cause: Remedial Action: The seam can become detached if the convertible top is opened and closed very often. Information The convertible top covering must not be replaced if the seam has become detached. Sew reinforcing strip into the convertible top covering. Convertible top fins Convertible top fins 2 Position the reinforcing strip Cut-out on reinforcing strip -1- with the cut towards the convertible top covering Cut-out on reinforcing strip -arrow- and lift the fin bag slightly. Cut-out on reinforcing strip 3 Pull protective film Protective film on inner bonding surfaces -1- off the bonding surface on the right section, fit the reinforcing strip Protective film on inner bonding surfaces -2- flush with the edge of the convertible top covering Protective film on inner bonding surfaces -Arrows- and press it on. Pull protective film Protective film on inner bonding surfaces -1- off the bonding surface on the left section and press the reinforcing strip Protective film on inner bonding surfaces -2- on so that it is also flush with the convertible top covering.
