Symptom in Vehicle Interior - Wind Deflector/Convertible Top Does Not Close: Reworking
Hall Sensor (SY 11/16)
General information
Symptom
Customers complain that the convertible top or wind deflector cannot be closed.
Cause, introduction date and remedial action
Cause
If the Hall sensor is not positioned correctly or if it becomes slightly detached, there will be too much of a
gap between the sensor and component and an error message will be displayed.

As of 2014 up to 2015 - 911 (991)
Remedial
action
Installation position of Hall sensor for wind deflector
A defined gap between the Hall sensor and component must be observed. The Hall sensor is bonded at
the defined position and is also held in position with a fixing clip.
