Maserati Levante MY17
SUBJECT: Note on the hydraulic steering rack replacement
DESCRIPTION
In case of hydraulic steering rack replacement on Maserati Levante MY17 vehicles,
in order to avoid future noise phenomenon, it is mandatory to follow the steps hereby
reported (see Technical Documentation for the complete replacement procedure):
•
Blow the highlighted area with compressed air
• Clean it with specific products such as heptane (or other similar products, for
use permitted by current environmental protection regulations)
• Apply a protective waxy such as “Tectyl 4D750” or “Efcoat 964” (About
thicknesses and times, follow what indicated from the supplier's data sheet)
