CROSS TRAFFIC WARNING MISSING FROM
INTEGRATED OWNERS MANUAL

SITUATION
The crossing traffic warning (right of way warning) section is missing from the integral owner’s
manual (IBA). The picture below shows the missing text.
CAUSE
Software error in the Head unit IBA file
CORRECTION
Reprogram and encode the vehicle with ISTA/P 3.62 or ISTA 4.06.01
PROCEDURE
Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 3.62.0 or ISTA 4.06.01 or higher (these versions are expected to
release Mid-June 2017).
Note: Until these SW versions release, please explain to the customer that the cross
traffic description is available in the paper version of the owner’s manual and also in the online

operating instructions.
Note that ISTA/P and ISTA will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control
modules that do not have the latest software.
Always connect a BMW approved battery charger/power supply (SI B04 23 10).

Documentation / Diagnostics and Programming / Programming Documentation.
