REVERSE LIGHT SHINES INTO PASSENGER CABIN

F48 (X1 sDrive 28i or xDrive 28i)
Produced from February 29, 2016 to August 25, 2016
SITUATION
Reverse light shines into passenger cabin at the rear window and glares into driver’s eyes from
interior rearview mirror.
CAUSE
Deletion of light cover.
CORRECTION
Install light covers.
PROCEDURE
For conditions that are similar to the situation described:
1. Remove tailgate trim panel following REP 51 49 000 “Removing and installing/replacing the
tailgate trim panel;”
2. Attach the light cover on one side as shown in the attached video; then
3. Attach opposite side cover
4. Re-install the tailgate trim panel
