Due to an allocation error in the parts list, the affected vehicles with the optional Touring
package (I-no. 039) were supplied with front covers (fins) and these were fitted in the front
wheel housing during the sales check although the covers were not intended for this optional
equipment.
Installation of the covers can cause a slight change in GT3 Touring-specific vehicle handling.

Torque wrench, 1.5 – 3 Nm (1 - 2 ftlb.), e.g. VAS 6494 - Torque screwdriver

Turn the steering fully to the right.
Check whether the fins are attached in the underbody
area in the left and right wheel housing.

Fin is not fitted: The vehicle complies with
specifications. End of action required.
Continue with Step 3.
Fin is fitted: The vehicle does not comply with
specifications. The fins must be removed. To
do this, continue with  Technical Information
'Removing front covers (fin)'
Enter the campaign in the Warranty and Maintenance
booklet.
