Symptom - Engine - Pulsating Noise From The Engine Compartment: Replacing oil

Symptom
Customers complain about a high-frequency pulsating noise from the engine compartment.

Cause
The noises can occur if there is excessive spring force tolerance in the oil separator
Date of introduction
The optimized oil separators are used in production from November 25, 2015.
Remedial action
In the event of a customer complaint, check the part number of the installed oil separator and replace the
oil separator if necessary.

If an oil separator with the Part No. 9A1.107.042.01 is installed, replace the oil separator.
If an oil separator with the Part No. 9A1.107.042.02 is installed, the cause of the fault is not the
cause described here. Find the cause of the fault and correct it. End of remedial action.
