TRANSMITTAL (RRT) 15-050. ALL APPLICABLE SOLD AND UN-SOLD RRT VIN's
HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO VERIFY THAT THIS RRT SERVICE ACTION IS
APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN
TECHCONNECT. ALL REPAIRS ARE REIMBURSABLE WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF
WARRANTY.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT 15.04 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS
PROCEDURE.
SUBJECT:
Cluster Backlighting Dimming Incorrectly
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing and programming the instrument panel cluster.

Jeep Renegade (Brazil only)
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before April 10, 2015 (MDH
0410XX) with Brazil Country Code (Sales Code 8A1).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A small number of customer may notice that the cluster illumination is not dimming
properly while in day or night modes.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove and replace the Instrument Cluster following the instructions on Dealer
Connect, TechCONNECT under 08 - Electrical, 8J - Instrument Cluster,
Removal/Installation.

NOTE: Keep the Instrument Cluster un-installed but connected to its wiring harness.
2. Access the link for a remote setup http://tinyurl.com/k9pxlxb and fill the form. Press
“Send (Enviar)” to be placed on the attendance line.
NOTE: Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.
3. After the support session has been initiated, follow the instructions given from the chat
line agent.
4. The agent will perform the programming remotely. be sure to pay attention to the chat
session in the event some instruction is required.
5. Finish installing the new instrument cluster following the replacement procedure
located in TechCONNECT under 08 - Electrical, 8J - Instrument Cluster, Installation.
