Customer states:
 Fuel gauge does not show full after filling up, it only
shows 5/8ths of a tank (Figure 1).
 Fuel gauge shows correct level after a short delay.
 Fuel gauge only shows full after driving for a short
distance.
 MIL may be illuminated.

Workshop findings:
 One or more of the customer statements can be reproduced.
 If DTC P046100 is found in the ECM, check and update if necessary using TSB 2043357: 20 MIL on (DTC
P046100 - Fuel level sensor, circuit range/performance). If any other DTCs are found proceed with GFF and
repairs.
 If the customer’s concern included fuel gauge only showing 5/8ths after filling fuel tank, replace fuel sensor
with updated part (green dot).
