One or more of the fault codes below may be stored in the TCB or Combox control unit: z 0xB7F32B – GSM Antenna: Open Circuit z 0xB7F31F – GSM Antenna: Short to ground z 0xB7F31E – GSM Antenna: Open Circuit CAUSE A signal error is identified during the aerial self-test performed by the TCB (Telematic Control Box or the Combox). CORRECTION Replace the following parts: z TCB control unit (Telematic Control Box or the Combox) z Coax cable from the TCB to the antenna z Antenna (GSM antenna or the Emergency Back-up) PROCEDURE 1. Perform a vehicle test using the latest version of ISTA diagnostics. Always connect a BMW approved battery charger/power supply (SI B04 23 10). 2. Replace the following components: https://www.bmwtis.net/tiscode/cgi-bin/bulletin.aspx?sie_path=/tsb/bulletins/htm_store/301... 3/3/2016 Page 2 of 5 • The TCB • Coax cable between the TCB and the Antenna • The Antenna - based on the fault which is stored. Example: { If the fault states “GSM antenna,” replace the GSM antenna { If the fault states “Emergency Back-up antenna,: replace the Emergency Back-up antenna 3. Delete the faults 4. Program the vehicle using ISTA/P Important: The vehicle must be allowed to sleep for at least 5 minutes before retesting. 5. Take the vehicle for a test drive and verify the issue is resolved. Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software. For information on programming and coding with ISTA/P, refer to CenterNet / Aftersales Portal / Service / Workshop Technology / Vehicle Programming.
