CONDITION
Some 2016–2018 model year Prius vehicles may exhibit multiple conditions such as ABS MIL On,
PCS/ICS/LDA/BSM Malfunction Message, Check Engine Light On, Skid Light On, Low Brake Force
Message, and/or Brake Light Inoperative. Typically, more than one condition is present.
RECOMMENDATIONS
We recommend completing the following inspections BEFORE a TAS case is created:
• Confirm Stop Lamp Switch adjustment of 0.6mm-2.6mm of exposed plunger. See Link 1 below.
o If needed, confirm function by swapping SLS into known good vehicle.
• Confirm Brake Pedal Height and Brake Pedal Reserve Distance per Repair Manual.
See Link 2 below.
• Confirm the PM1 connector at the rear bumper is connected. DO NOT DISCONNECT OR
FURTHER INSPECT THE CONNECTOR.

Once the above items have been confirmed, if the condition of your vehicle still matches the condition
described on this document, please STOP ALL WORK, contact TAS and provide details prior to the
repair. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you DO NOT DISCONNECT OR FURTHER INSPECT the
PM1 connector. If it’s a weekend or holiday continue with diagnosis and repair, save all parts and
details, contact TAS on the next available work day and review details with TAS engineer.
