This bulletin does not necessarily apply to all the above-mentioned vehicles, some vehicles may have been modified before delivery. The owners of the vehicles affected by this bulletin will be advised by a letter indicating the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of each vehicle concerned. Writer: mgWB18-43 Page 2 / 3 DESCRIPTION On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, the VECU (Vehicle Electronic Control Unit) parameters must be updated to allow auto engine brake function with the I-Shift transmission. Please make an appointment at the nearest Prevost Service Center or Service Provider to have bulletin WB18-43 performed free of charge or reprogram MID144 with the latest update available using Premium Tech Tool. PROCEDURE DANGER Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. 1. Connect Premium Tech Tool (PTT) to the vehicle diagnostics connector (OBD). Connect the PC to a functional LAN or modem connection and a 120 Volt AC source. 2. Using Premium Tech Tool, reprogram the VECU (MID144) with the latest update available. NOTE If the message “No update available do you want to continue” pops-up, click YES and complete the programming process. 3. Confirm completion of the VECU programming with the Program > Update Software screen. Writer: mg WB18-43 Page 3 / 3 WARRANTY This modification is covered by Prevost’s normal warranty. We will reimburse you 3/4 hour(s) (0.75) of labor upon receipt of a warranty claim.
