Description: Some Hyundai Genesis vehicles may experience a haptic steering warning light with
DTC Code B247100 – Vibration Motor Fault code set. This bulletin provides service information and
the procedure to replace the haptic controller.

Service Procedure:
1.
Remove the negative battery terminal.
NOTICE
Save customer radio presets prior
to detaching negative battery
terminal.
NOTICE
Battery (-) terminal installation:
4.0 ~ 6.0 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6kgf.m, 3.0
~ 4.0 lb-ft).
2.
Remove steering wheel per Steering Wheel
removal procedure in shop manual.
3.
Place steering wheel face down on a clean
surface.

Loosen haptic controller mounting screws.
5.
Disconnect the 2 connectors, one on each
side (A) and remove the haptic controller.

Install the new haptic controller (B).

NOTICE
Ensure replacement haptic controller
has S1.02 software level.
7.
Reinstall all the removed parts in reverse
order.
Check for DTC codes with GDS and clear
after replacement.
Reset all radio presets to previous stations.
