Customer statement:
In the driver information system (DIS) one or several of the following messages are displayed:
 Audi pre sense: malfunction.
 Traffic sign detection: malfunction.
 Adaptive cruise control with congestion assistant is not available.
 Audi active lane assist: currently not available.
Workshop findings:
One of the following DTC(s) is stored in the camera control module, R242 (address word 00A5) as either static or
sporadic:
 DTC B200FF1 (internal malfunction).
 DTC B200FF2 (internal malfunction).

Technical Background
During its start phase the camera recognizes a malfunction in the internal communication.
Production Solution
Improved software addressed the condition (DTC B200FF2).
Service
1. If only DTC B200FF1 (internal malfunction) is logged, then replace the camera control module.
2. If both DTCs B200FF1 and B200FF2 are logged, then replace the camera control module.
3. If only DTC B200FF2 (internal malfunction) is logged, proceed as follows:
 Update the camera control module with SVM to SW0044 via SVM code A5A002.
Note:
Claims with a replaced camera control modules which only had the DTC B200FF2 once may be denied.
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the Camera Control Module (00A5) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if
necessary:
