The Technical Information describes, among other aspects, administrative formalities in the warranty period. In the case of batteries with EFB technology, there is a possibility that the Midtronics tester could evaluate the battery as defective too soon. In this instance, the battery must also be tested manually and the inspection sheet completed in full. The explanatory information relating to the inspection sheet must be observed. Exchanging the EFB battery is necessary only if a defect was also detected as part of the manual test. Order information for the “Midtronics EXP 717” battery tester can be found, among other sources, in Omniplus BusDoc on tab “Werkstattinformation” => “EinPas 25.20.20” (“Workshop information” => “EinPas 25.20.20”).
