SS 1033225 Park brake chime chimes with
the service brake applied, transmission is in
neutral and the park brake is released.
Service Solution Title: Park brake chime chimes with the service brake applied, transmission in neutral
and the park brake is released.
Applicable Vehicles
Motorhomes with Pollak instrumentation and are multiplexed. Has LBCU A66-04780-XXX (XXX=all versions)
found in module 811 and chassis module A66-03087-000 found in module 32K.
Symptoms
Complaint of applying the Service brake, releasing the park brake, and park brake chime coming on until a
drive gear is selected.
Issue
The Pollak LBCU is not wired to receive the service brake signal.
Solution
Reference attached schematic G66-04448-000. Locate circuit 36R, at the 23 pin cavity U, at the dash/chassis
bulkhead connector. On the dash harness side of the connector follow the 36R wire 200mm from the bulkhead
connector. Cut and properly splice in a wire of the same gauge, (20/.5), and run it in a secure loom to pin D11
on the LBCU 32 pin connector. Use terminal 23-13214-001.
