Service Technical Information 143/18 ENU 9715 9 Symptom in Vehicle Interior - Front "Real Top View" Camera Display in PCM is Milky/Cloudy (I-no. KA6): Replacing front wire harness (SY 143/18) Vehicle Type: Cayenne (9YA) Model Year: As of 2018 up to 2019 Equipment: Real Top View (4-camera system) (I-no. KA6) Subject: Front wire harness Symptom: The front "Real Top View" camera display in the PCM is milky/cloudy although the camera lens is clean and dry. Cause: Moisture can seep into the plug connection on the front wire harness. Remedial Action: In the event of a customer complaint, replace the existing wire harness with a new wire harness with a modified sealing concept and replace the front camera, see Workshop Manual '971519 Removing and installing front wire harness' and Workshop Manual '916919 Removing and installing front camera'. Date of Introduction: A wire harness with a modified sealing concept has been used during production since March 21, 2018 or as of chassis number 9YZ KDA 005 74. Parts Info: Information The following points must be observed in relation to the relevant vehicle (depending on equipment): • Particular/modified components are required in order to correct the problem. • Depending on vehicle equipment, the part number of the modified component will be different. The required part number can be found in the PET (Porsche Spare Parts Catalog). The PET must also be used to check whether other components are required for carrying out the repairs completely.
