Subject: Audi Q7 & Q8 Drivers Assist Requirements

Audi of America would like to remind dealerships with surface mounted alignment racks (installed on top of
the concrete) of a required update to your VAS6430 Drivers Assist Calibration equipment.
If your alignment rack is surface mounted, the purchase and installation of the VAS6430/9 is critical for
proper measurement and calibration of Q7 and Q8 models.
The VAS6430/9 is an extension which is installed between the base (VAS6430/8) and the mast
(VAS6430/1A) of your VAS6430 Drivers Assist Calibration system. The purpose of the VAS6430/9 is to
raise the VAS6430/1A calibration system mast to the proper level required to perform calibration on Q7
and Q8 models.
It is strongly advised that you inspect your alignment rack mounting and determine if your dealership
needs the VAS6430/9.

NOTE: If your alignment rack is recess mounted (recessed into the concrete - top of rack level with floor)
you DO NOT require VAS6430/9.
NOTE: The Audi Service Tools & Equipment Program WILL NOT be auto-shipping the VAS6430/9 as we
have limited visibility on individual dealer’s alignment rack mounting requirements.
