If the customer has not commented about this condition or the EI does not show in GWM/IVH, disregard the PI and proceed with diagnostics found in published service information. This PI has been revised to update the Correction and Warranty Information. Please discard PIE0497A. Brand: Cadillac Model: ATS CTS Involved Region or Country Additional Options (RPOs) Condition Cause Model Year: VIN: from to 2016 2019 from to Engine: Transmission: All North America Equipped with ENG CONTROL-STOP/START SYS, CONVENTIONAL AT, CONVENTIONAL MT OR BRAKE RELEASE LATE RESTART (RPO KL9) Important: If the customer did not bring their vehicle in for this concern, DO NOT proceed with this EI. Some customers may comment on a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on. Technicians may find DTC P1070 set. GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause of the above condition. Engineering has a need to gather information on vehicles PRIOR to repair that may exhibit this condition. As a result, this information will be used to "root cause" the customer's concern and develop/validate a field fix. Correction If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, perform the following and contact the engineer below with your findings. • Make sure DTC P1070 is Current (this ignition cycle) and complete the Service Information Instructions for DTC P1070 steps 1 thru 9. • If DTC P1070 is still present, check K176 control module X1 connector for cut wiring.
