CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
On vehicles with 325mm front brake discs only, a noise from the front brakes during light brake pedal
application may be evident. The issue is more evident before the front brakes have reached operating
temperature in colder ambient temperatures and typically does not occur after the brakes have reached
operating temperature.
CAUSE:
This may be caused when lower ambient temperatures cause the friction levels at the front brake pad-todisc interface to increase, producing a high frequency noise during light braking applications.
NOTE:
Vehicles with 350mm front brake discs: submit an Electronic Product Quality Report (EPQR) if the
same issue is present and no other communication has been issued on this subject.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure(s) below.
