KESSY Vehicles Only. 23Q3/23U4 TDI IN-FORM Validation Displays “Caution Repair Not Complete” Model(s) Jetta, Beetle, Beetle Convertible, Passat, Golf, Golf Sportwagen Year Eng. Code Trans. Code VIN Range From VIN Range To All All All 2.0L TDI 2012-2015 CKRA, CVCA, CRUA Technical Background While performing the 23Q3/23U4 campaign on KESSY vehicles, the test plan asks for an ignition cycle. During this action on a KESSY vehicle, the ignition cycle may fail to reactive terminal 15 / switch ignition on. If this happens, the GFF test plans stops the recording of the campaign update. This will not affect completing the software update on the vehicle. Once the software update has finished and a GFF paperless log has been submitted, the GFF paperless log may not validate the updated software versions. Service It will be necessary to rescan the vehicle after the software update is completed; this will document the updated software version. Next, submit a new GFF paperless log. In order for the software update to be documented with the updated software version: 1. Back up the IN-FORM tool one step, wait a few minutes 2. Proceed to the GFF step or restart the IN-FORM tool. The validation will recognize the updated software in GFF paperless and complete the reactivation part of the validation process. 1 Technical Tips Tip: It is noted in the 23Q3/23U4 Campaign Circular, “KESSY Vehicles!” – “to hold the key up to the reader coil during the ignition on/off process of the flash. Holding the key at the reader coil would allow terminal 15 to reactive, preventing these concerns.
