Workshop findings:
The following DTC is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001):
 DTC P203B00 (Reductant Level Sensor Circuit Range/Performance).
Technical Background
Diagnostic software in the control module for reduction agent metering system, J880 (address word 00AC), has
been optimized to avoid this fault. In some cases, the AdBlue level sensor may still require replacement.

Production Solution
Improved level sensor and level sensor diagnostics.
Service
Update the parameters:
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the parameters of the control module for reduction agent metering system, J880 (address code
00AC), using SVM code ACA001.
3. If the fault code P203B00 is stored with the
symptom code (DFCC) 65540 or 65541 (Figure
1), replace the reduction agent level sensor
(delivery unit) in addition to updating the
parameters. Follow the instructions in the Elsa
Repair Manual (Engine >> 6-cylinder TDI
Common Rail Engine (Gen II) >> 26 Exhaust
System, Emission Controls, Selective Catalytic
Reduction System).
Note:
If the DTC and symptom code are
not stored in the ECM exactly as in
Step 3, no part should be replaced.

Do not contact TAC unless the problem persists after the software/hardware update or if there is a problem with
the SVM process.
