TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Headliner Loose And/Or Sagging At The Rear Near The High Mounted Stoplamp 19-2051 26 February 2019 This bulletin supersedes 18-2096. Reason for update: Concern Carryover to New Model Model: Ford 2013-2019 Police Interceptor Sedan 2011-2019 Taurus Summary This article supersedes TSB 18-2096 to update the vehicle model years affected. Issue: Some 2011-2019 Taurus and 2013-2019 Police Interceptor Sedan vehicles may exhibit a loose and/or sagging headliner near the high mounted stoplamp. This may be caused by the headliner mounting bracket separating from the headliner. To resolve the condition, reapply adhesive to the headliner mounting bracket. Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria: • 2011-2019 Taurus or 2013-2019 Police Interceptor Sedan • Loose and/or sagging headliner near the high mounted stoplamp Parts Part Number Description Obtain Locally 3M™ Super-Fast Repair Adhesive, 04747 Quantity 1 Warranty Status: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool. Additional Time To Remove And Install Police Equipment That Interferes With This Repair (Can MT192051 Actual Be Claimed With Operation A) Time Repair/Claim Coding Causal Part: 5451916 Condition Code: 33 Tool List Tool List Small Trim Tool 3M™ Performance Manual Applicator 08190 Service Procedure 1. Fold down both rear seat backs. 2. Unfasten the left and right side rear headliner retention clips. (Figure 1) Figure 1 3. Gently pull down on the rear of the headliner to gain access to the center mounting bracket location. 4. Apply 3M™ Super-Fast Repair Adhesive or equivalent to the back of the headliner mounting bracket. Removal of the original adhesive is not necessary.(Figure 2) Figure 2 5. Using mild pressure, seat the mounting bracket in the original location. (Figure 3) (1). Allow the adhesive to cure for 60 minutes. Figure 3 6.
