Complaint:
The Parktronic warning tone sounds continuously from the speaker in the driver footwell.
The tone is not stopped by switching off the ignition.
Cause:
Software release in all-digital instrument cluster (widescreen cockpit). The complaint can occur in rare cases when the
highest Parktronic warning level is requested.
Remedy:
Do not replace any parts. The complaint can be rectified with a software update of the instrument cluster.
For vehicles with software release E24 and higher (identifiable in the quick test - see Attachment A - by the software
object number A2229042901), optimized software for the instrument cluster is available:

As an immediate measure, the tone can still be stopped in the following ways:

Request the highest Parktronic warning level again:
Drive the vehicle forwards towards an object that Parktronic can detect, until one of the warning segments (in
the display) reaches the highest Parktronic warning level (flashing red at the front, see video).
When the highest warning level has been reached (flashing red at the front), move the vehicle away again.

Important: The vehicle must be moved. An object moving in front of a stationary vehicle will not stop the continuous
warning tone.
