 MIL on or flashing.
Workshop findings:
 Only DTC(s) regarding misfiring on cylinder 5 (DTC P030500) are logged in the engine control module (ECM),
J623 (address word 0001).
The following values are logged in the specific ambient conditions for DTC P030500:
 Engine speed between 5500 and 5900 rpm.
 Standard load value over 70%.
 Engine torque over 750 Nm.

OBD diagnostics too sensitive at high engine load conditions.

New software in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001) addressed the condition.
Service
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the ECM, J623 (address word 0001) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below if
necessary. No further repairs are necessary after updating the ECM unless the vehicles returns with the
same DTC P030500 with the specific ambient conditions listed above, see Step 3-5.
3. If ECM software is up to date, install spring plates under the exhaust valve springs on Bank 2 (cyl 5-8).
