CONDITION
Some 2020 model year Japan built Corolla vehicles may exhibit a condition where the battery may
become depleted during shipping.
It has been discovered that when the D/C cut fuse is not installed voltage may continue to flow to an
ECU while the vehicle is powered off causing a parasitic draw depleting battery state of charge.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Ensure all 2020 model year Japan built Corolla vehicles have the D/C cut fuse properly installed.
Proper D/C cut fuse installation location can be found on the PDS check sheet.
If a vehicle is found without the D/C cut fuse installed confirm the battery SOC by following PDS
document
Please note that as of March 5, 2019 the manufacturing plant and North American Port of Entry
locations are installing the D/C cut fuse.
