Technical Background
During assembly on a small number of the
model year 2019 vehicles, the oil fill
extension tube (Figure 1) may have been
assembled incorrectly. If this extension tube
is cross threaded, an intake/vacuum leak
may be generated at the interface between
the extension tube and the valve cover
(Figure 1, 7). If an intake/vacuum leak is
suspected, please inspect this component
and verify proper sealing. If any components
are damaged from cross threading, replace
as necessary.
