Hybrid or e-Golf High Voltage System Service – Battery Classification Customer reports one or more of the following conditions is present or has occurred: A malfunction indicator in the cluster (MIL or triangle symbol with exclamation point). The vehicle cannot be started (no “ready” mode) or operates only in limp mode. An error message about the hybrid or electric drive system has appeared in the instrument cluster. The high voltage battery cannot be charged from an external source (e-Golf only). There is physical damage to the high-voltage battery. Technical Background Information only.
